Ephesians 6:16, “Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.”
“Above all” may mean that the “shield” is to be used against everything. The Christian’s calling in the world is that of a soldier. The Christian’s shield offers protection against “all fiery darts of the wicked one”. The flaming arrows of Satan cannot penetrate the believer who places his faith in God.
“Fiery darts” from the devil could be doubt, temptations, insecurity, evil imaginations, bad memories, vain thoughts, etc. Continue Reading
