Q/A – What is the Gap Theory? Do you think God deals with theories or facts?


The Gap Theory, also known as the Restitution Theory, places a lengthy period of time between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2.  This theory was devised to help scientists use their scientific theories to correlate time with Biblical accounts.  In essence, it was an attempt to reconcile the Bible with the views of science.  This allows a compromise for evolutionists to try to prove the earth is billions of years old. Q/A What is your translation of choice when it comes to the Word of God? Why?

My preference is to use both NASB and NKJV.  The NASB (New American Standard Bible) is a literal word-for-word translation and retain as much of the original grammar and sentence structure as possible.  In addition, the KJV (King James Version) and the NKJV (New King James Version) are also literal, but if we compare them to the NASB, the NASB is the most literal. “ I don’t understand it and maybe you can help.  Why would He (Jesus) not want everyone to know He is the Son of God in Mark 3:11-12?”
