When in doubt, Praise God!

Remember GodThomas came with doubts, did Jesus turn him away?  No.  God never turns away the sincere heart. Tough questions do not stump God. He invites our inquiries. What concerns you?  What occupies your mind?  Talk to God.  Pray and read the Bible.  God can restore you.  He can heal you.

Doubt is a threat to faith – it leaves no room for the hope of faith that is rooted in the assurance of faith.

Here is some scripture to remember:

Praise the Lord for the glory of his name; worship the Lord because he is holy.
Psalm 29:2

Sing praises to the Lord, you who belong to him; praise his holy name.
Psalm 30:4

Come, let’s worship him and bow down. Let’s kneel before the Lord who made us,
because he is our God and we are the people he takes care of and the sheep that he tends.
Psalm 95:6–7

So I tell you to believe that you have received the things you ask for in prayer, and God will give
them to you. When you are praying, if you are angry with someone, forgive him so that your Father in heaven will also forgive your sins.
Mark 11:24–25

The Lord sees the good people and listens to their prayers. But the Lord is against those who do evil; he makes the world forget them.
Psalm 34:15–16

God’s word is alive and working and is sharper than a double-edged sword. It cuts all the way into us, where the soul and the spirit are joined, to the center of our joints and bones. And it judges the thoughts and feelings in our hearts.
Hebrews 4:12

The truly happy people are those who carefully study God’s perfect law that makes people free, and they continue to study it. They do not forget what they heard, but they obey what God’s teaching says. Those who do this will be made happy.
James 1:25

We worship God through his Spirit, and our pride is in Christ Jesus. We do not put trust in ourselves or anything we can do.…
Philippians 3:3

But the person who trusts in the Lord will be blessed. The Lord will show him that he can be trusted.

He will be strong, like a tree planted near water that sends its roots by a stream. It is not afraid when the days are hot; its leaves are always green. It does not worry in a year when no rain comes; It always produces fruit.
Jeremiah 17:7–8

When I am afraid I will trust you. I praise God for his word. I trust God, so I am not afraid. What can human beings do to me?
Psalm 56:3–4

Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.
Psalm 100:1-5

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

When you are in doubt:

But if any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. He is generous and enjoys giving to all people, so he will give you wisdom.
James 1:5

May God himself, the God of peace, make you pure, belonging only to him. May your whole self—spirit, soul, and body—be kept safe and without fault when our Lord Jesus Christ comes.
1 Thessalonians 5:23

The ways of God are without fault. The Lord’s words are pure. He is a shield to those who trust him. Who is God? Only the Lord. Who is the Rock? Only our God.
